Meet Jiten
Jiten is a Partner at Eclipse and loves building transformative companies that embrace complexity and leverage technology to drive sustainable differentiation.
Prior to Eclipse, Jiten held multiple leadership positions at Rivian, including Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Growth (Commercial) Officer. An early employee of Rivian, he built and scaled multiple functions across the business from a clean sheet, overseeing the growth of the company from ~25 employees to 14K+ over the span of 8 years. He built and led a ~3K person commercial organization comprising business, design, product, technology, and operations teams that was responsible for building out the company’s direct-to-customer go-to-market functions to support both the B2C and B2B verticals. In addition to being the executive lead for all of Rivian’s financing rounds in which the company raised over $10B — followed by one of the biggest IPOs in recent times — Jiten also managed all corporate development and transactions for the business, including the strategic partnership with Amazon for the delivery van program — the largest order of electric delivery vehicles to date.
Before Rivian, Jiten was a consultant with Roland Berger and member of the management team for North American operations. At Roland Berger, he advised the C-suite of Fortune 500 firms and emerging companies on corporate strategy, global business, go-to-market, multinational transactions, innovation, digitization, and large-scale transformation.
Jiten holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering from V.T.U, India. Originally from Bangalore, India, Jiten moved to the U.S. in 2007 and now lives in the Bay Area with his wife and two kids. Jiten enjoys playing squash, traveling, and sampling different cuisines.
