Josh Richman

Meet Josh
Josh is a Venture Partner at Eclipse, where he partners with founders building companies that power and modernize the global economy.
Prior to joining Eclipse, Josh spent more than a decade at Bloom Energy, a company that redefined distributed power generation. As Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, he helped build the company from a pre-revenue startup into a publicly traded global energy platform. He then spent six years as Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of Market Development at PsiQuantum, working to develop the world’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer with the potential to reshape materials science, chemistry, and computing. These experiences reinforced his conviction that the most consequential opportunities lie at the intersection of breakthrough engineering and industrial-scale deployment.
At Eclipse, Josh partners with entrepreneurs tackling complex technical challenges in energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and computing. Drawing on his experience scaling technically ambitious businesses and navigating the operational, commercial, and policy dimensions of deploying technology in the physical world, he works closely with founders from early stages through growth.
Josh has served as a Lecturer in Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he teaches Energy: Innovation, Policy & Business Strategy. He earned a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford.
