Heather Mack
Director of Content

Meet Heather
Heather Mack is the Director of Content at Eclipse. She partners with investors and portfolio companies to craft stories that illuminate the vision, expertise, and collaboration it takes to move physical industries forward. As a former tech and business journalist, Heather thrives in environments where she gets to learn about complex sectors and the people who power them.
Prior to joining Eclipse, Heather served as Head of Content at Greylock Partners. As the firm’s first full-time content producer and strategist, she was instrumental in evolving Greylock’s initial ad-hoc approach to content into a consistent, multi-channel editorial program. Her work helped shape the brand of the firm and highlight the unique strengths of its individual partners and portfolio companies.
Prior to Greylock, Heather was a reporter at the San Francisco bureau of the Wall Street Journal, where she covered venture capital and tech startups operating within any industry with a science underpinning including biotech, agriculture tech, and digital health. Through her reporting, she discovered the VC and startup scene was filled with many more stories beyond traditional news, and was inspired to work directly with the people building the future.
A California native, Heather received her Masters in Journalism from UC Berkeley and her B.A. from San Francisco State University. She lives in San Francisco with her spouse and two cats, and enjoys hiking, road biking, running, pilates, cooking, traveling, reading, and every word game The New York Times has to offer.
