Tandem PV

Tandem PV was founded in 2016 by a team of leading solar scientists and engineers to push the boundaries of solar efficiency. Recognizing that traditional silicon solar cells have reached their performance limits, the company has developed perovskite-based tandem solar technology, which delivers significantly higher energy output at a lower cost. This aligns with the Eclipse thesis of commercializing deep-tech innovations that drive industrial transformation. Since its inception, Tandem PV has validated its technology through real-world testing, secured key customer commitments, and in the process of establishing its first manufacturing facility to scale production.

With $50M in recent funding led by Eclipse, Tandem PV is positioned to bring perovskite tandem solar to mass production. The company has secured product-market fit and initial customer commitments, validating market demand for its high-efficiency solar panels. The global solar market is projected to exceed $500B by 2030, and Tandem PV is leading the charge in delivering U.S.-manufactured, next-generation solar technology to compete in this rapidly expanding sector.
