Kimelo

Founded in 2024 by Kim Spalding, Chris Elliott, and Michal Lapkowski, Kimelo is building the AI-enabled platform to transform the food distribution industry. The $1T global food distribution industry remains one of the last major sectors still largely reliant on outdated, analog processes. Distributors, wholesalers, and restaurants struggle with inefficiencies — manual ordering, transportation and food waste — leading to $35B in lost profit annually.

Kimelo is the AI-driven platform to modernize food distribution. Our solution digitizes the entire supply chain — starting with the distributors who sit at the center.  We manage data from wholesale purchase through distributors to your favorite restaurant’s table. As a tech spin-off from Cheetah Technologies (a tech-enabled food distributor), Kimelo was built with insider knowledge of the industry’s challenges.

We are scaling across the U.S. with vertical SaaS solutions for food distributors from California to Boston.  Our solutions include restaurant ordering, routing, advertising, and wholesale purchases. Post pandemic, distributors are ready to digitize and Kimelo’s AI-first approach makes implementation simple.

With more than $350M in GMV scaling to more than $10B in the next 3 years, Kimelo is positioned to transform foodservice distribution.
